4) IPR (Creative Commons Use & Open Source Software Licence)

All written or audio-visual material made during Mimas’ Linked Data project will be made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence.

ESDS International:

World Bank terms and conditions require their data to be attributed.  The Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license fulfils this need, whilst still allowing significant freedom to repurpose the data and remain within the Open Knowledge Foundation’s definition of open data.

Landmap:

All Linked Data information and any newly defined Vocabulary will be available to users as under Creative Commons (CC) licence.  We are only linking metadata, not actual data. This Linked Spatial Metadata will be open to all under CC, however, the actual data is accessible through Landmap to UK Academia only under Licence at no cost.
